Richard Branson Opens a Stunning New Hotel in Mallorca: Son Bunyola

Attention, luxury travel enthusiasts! Richard Branson has unveiled a new gem in the travel world, Son Bunyola, located in the preserved northern part of Mallorca. This region miraculously escaped the construction frenzy of the late 20th century and now stands under UNESCO's protective umbrella.
Branson's love affair with Mallorca dates back to 1987 when he renovated a half-demolished mansion into the five-star hotel, La Residencia, a favorite of none other than Princess Diana. Although he had initially bought the Son Bunyola estate and built two villas, bureaucratic roadblocks prevented him from turning the main building into a hotel. However, with the resolute spirit that he's known for, Branson repurchased the property in 2015 and achieved his vision under his luxury brand, Virgin Limited Edition.
With 26 rooms, three private villas, paddle tennis, yoga sessions overlooking olive groves (the views are simply breathtaking), and tennis courts, it begs the question: will Mallorca native Rafael Nadal swing by for a game?
