Hotel du Couvent: A New Gem in Nice's Hospitality Scene
June 10, 2024 in Travel & Destinations by Julian Everett
Hotel du Couvent, a prime example of innovative hospitality, is set to open its doors in Nice, housed within a 400-year-old monastery. This new addition is poised to join the ranks of prestigious monastery hotels worldwide and stand out among Nice's luxury accommodations.
The initiative was inspired by the city's mayor, who emphasized the need for Nice to stay competitive in hospitality between its glamorous neighbors, Cannes and Monaco. Recognizing this challenge, Valeri Grego, the visionary behind Paris's Le Pigalle and L’Alpaga in Megève, took on the ambitious project. With an impressive investment of 100 million euros, Grego is transforming the historic monastery into a top-tier hotel.
Hotel du Couvent will feature 88 meticulously designed rooms spread across four buildings, each blending the rich history of the monastery with modern luxury. As the grand opening approaches, anticipation is building for what promises to be a unique and elegant retreat in the heart of the French Riviera.
Stay tuned for more updates as Hotel du Couvent prepares to welcome its first guests, offering an unparalleled experience in the picturesque city of Nice.
