The paramount punk in the fashion world is back with us again. There's certainly no minimalism in Vivienne Westwood's Spring Summer 2024 Collection. Women and men stormed the runway to the beat of drums, adorned in a variety of dresses and jumpsuits covered in sequins, traditional tartan suits, jackets with extremely wide shoulders, and blouses with vivid prints.
All these looks were accompanied by bold accessories and footwear—massive bows, a shopper bag with a print that could easily have been a Sex Pistols album cover in the 70s, booties, and shoes on a chunky platform, which, in some cases, even managed to draw all the attention to themselves.
In the final part of Andreas Kronthaler's collection showcase, wedding dresses were presented. A transparent creamy-yellow mesh dress, complemented by a veil in the same shade, deserves special attention. This collection is a true representation of the rebellious and unapologetic spirit of punk fashion, bringing back the audacious and unconventional designs that Vivienne Westwood is renowned for.
