Reisha Perlmutter is a contemporary American artist known for her realistic depictions of naked women in or under water. Her childhood spent close to the sea had a significant influence on her work.

Born in 1990 in Naples, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and became fascinated with the interplay of light and shadow in painting. In describing her "Aqua" series, Reisha noted that her paintings are dedicated to sensory memories, the merging of past and present times, and a deep connection with our sensations beyond thoughts and consciousness.
