If you thought Fashion Week in New York was just about sequins and stilettos, you're in for a real treat—or perhaps, a minor shock. PETA activists took center stage at Coach's Spring-Summer 2024 show, and they did it so convincingly that they left Anna Wintour—and the rest of us—gobsmacked.

Yes, you read that right. PETA, known for their dramatic flair when it comes to advocating for animal rights, infiltrated the runway. And you won't believe how well they pulled it off. The activists blended into the line-up so seamlessly that it took the audience a few seconds to realize that the edgy ensembles were actually protests against animal leather.

The PETA looks were arguably the most buzzworthy aspect of the Coach show. They served up four distinctive styles: leather maxi dresses, 'workwear' outfits, lace combined with leather briefs, and, of course, all-leather ensembles—all presented in a range of colors. Each look was a walking billboard against animal cruelty, but made fashionably enough to give the audience pause for thought.

Anna Wintour's famously stoic expression cracked; her mouth literally fell open. If PETA's goal was to make people stop and think, they certainly achieved it, with fashion's high priestess herself as witness.
